Elizabeth O'Sullivan

Elizabeth is an educator and theatre-maker, with experience in directing, acting, writing, and stage management. From 2013-2018, she was the Head of Drama at The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani. During this time, produced and directed multiple shows, including an original piece, mentored students in the writing of their own work, coordinated the events for a week long social justice festival, designed and led community outreach programs, and gave students an outlet to push themselves creatively.

Liz has presented at the Excellence in Teaching Conference at AUIS two times and has presented at Sulimaniyah University's American Corner. She has had the support and funding of the British Council, Gatherton Arts, and the United States State Department.

Currently, she is working on an anthology of plays based on the lost feminine in mythology. When she has a moment, she loves making something out of nothing in the kitchen, bingeing television shows, and traveling to as many places as she can.
